tailA trader moved, but I did not copy.
- Check that you are signed in to the intended account and that the trader is on the relevant tail list.
- Check the copy mode. Off does not place automatic copies; Paper does not send a real trade.
- Find the signal in Activity. If it is missing, check whether that trader, source, chain, and signal type are supported.
- If it is present, read the skip or refusal reason. Review the active profile, size, balance, daily limit, and entry settings before changing anything.
The extension overlay is missing.
Confirm that the extension is installed and enabled for the terminal, then check that you are on a token page rather than a list, a home page or a search. The overlay recognises a token page by the shape of the route and the address in it, on every chain — so a chain TAIL does not trade still shows the token, with “TAIL doesn’t trade here yet” and no buy buttons, rather than nothing at all.
If the terminal recently changed its page layout, the adapter may need an update. You can still open the TAIL app to check your account. Repeatedly relinking an account is not a useful fix for a page-layout issue.
An old copy is the common one. If the popup told you a newer version is out and it has not been loaded yet, the overlay you are looking at is the old one. Download from tail.family/download/, unzip, and Load unpacked the new folder.
Two copies at once draw two overlays. A TAIL loaded before 22 September 2026 has a different extension id, so the browser treats it as a separate extension and both render on the same page. Remove the older one.
A moved folder stops it entirely. Your browser runs TAIL from the folder you chose at Load unpacked — if that folder was moved, renamed or deleted, the extension cannot start. Put it back, or load it again from where it is now.
Installing from the Chrome Web Store on top of a downloaded copy will not work until you remove the downloaded one. They are the same extension with the same id, and a browser holds one copy of an id at a time. Remove the folder you loaded, then install from the store. The download stays available either way — it is there so there is a way in that does not depend on the store.
My deposit or withdrawal is still pending.
Check the chain, asset, address, and transaction from the original action. For a routed deposit or withdrawal, inspect the route’s current state as well as the source transaction.
Avoid sending the same transfer again while the first result is uncertain. A second transfer is another money action, not a refresh button.
What to keep when something needs investigation.
Keep the time, the signal or receipt, the transaction hash if one exists, the network, and the exact message shown. Those identify the event without exposing your wallet keys.
Never include a private key, seed phrase, sign-in code, or session token. A screenshot should show the problem, not your credentials.
